Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Cost - £300 (tutor led course) or £249 (online course)

The Level 3 Award is aimed at a range of a learners: those that have recently started teaching and need an initial award as a tutor, or those delivering work based training within the voluntary, community, private and public sectors. 

The course is made up of the following units: 

  • Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training

  • Understanding assessment in education and training

  • Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training

Dyslexia Screener

Upon request

Care has been taken to make the procedure as straightforward as possible. It provides an excellent first step in deciding whether to request a full assessment, and to provide an overview of your strengths and weaknesses which can be used to guide the intervention training strategies for the individual.

CV writing/Interview skills

We work with you to enable you to see your skills, abilities and work experiences to produce a portfolio of competencies write an expression of interest, or to help develop future career opportunities. 

Where geographically possible, we work 1 to 1 with you to prepare you for interview and can assist with production of a CV and covering letter. 

Resilience Training

Provide staff with the awareness of what being resilient is, why we need it in the Prison Service, 4 Pillars of Resilience, what to do if the Resilience is impacted.

Effective Minute Taking Training (CPD accredited)

This a one day course designed for anyone who may have to perform the role of minute taker at formal meetings. The course explores the minute taker's role, the practicalities of note-taking, and producing a set of formal minutes that record the proceedings of a meeting. 

The course covers topics such as : pre-planning, agenda, use a template, clarify decisions, record taking, transcribing, distributing, filing/storing, tips & tricks. 

No experience is necessary, and learning is supported through handouts, exercises and multimedia.

Effective Decision Making Training

Have you ever considered why people make good or bad decisions?  Have you always made rational decisions? What is rationality? This short course examines some evidence that addresses these questions and others.  Further, human decision-making is often situated in an organisational context. How people make decisions is central to any understanding of management and organisational behaviour?
