POA Learning get crafty for Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, POA Learning have arranged webinars to celebrate the festive season and give learners an opportunity to get creative during the run up to the big day.

Over three days from 8th to 10th December, you are invited to join in as we welcome some special guests to show off their talents and show you some Christmassy creations.

We welcome back popular award-winning Community Chef, Mike Spackman who, along with Michelin recommended Chef Jason Hurren will bring us three days of cooking – with a festive spin. Starters to include Mushroom & Tarragon Pate, mains featuring a Festive “all the trimmings traybake” and end with Mince Pie Samosas.

A full menu can be downloaded HERE it lists the ingredients and methods so that you can follow along with the Chefs live via the webinars that will be on Tuesday 8th December 2pm - 4pm, Wednesday 9th December 10am - 12pm and Thursday 10th December 10am - 12pm.

More food will follow as Verity Malinowska, “Verity Jane - Cake Artist”, an award-winning cake artist from Plymouth shows you how to create some amazing, decorated cakes.

Across three days, Verity will take us through creating a tree stump cake, Christmas toppers and Christmas cupcakes.

Verity joins us on Tuesday 8th December 10am - 12pm, Wednesday 9th December 2pm - 4pm and Thursday 10th December 5pm - 7pm.

We then get crafty for our final two sessions starting with Karen Holroyd, who will be guiding us through a selection of beautiful displays using ribbons including a blue ornament, angel, poinsettia, and jute decoration. Tuesday 8th December 5pm - 7pm and Thursday 10th December 2pm - 4pm.

Finally, on Wednesday 9th December from 5pm - 7pm Laura Cadwallander an experienced creator of Christmas decorations including wreaths, table decorations and flower walls shows us how to create two fantastic Christmas themed items, a wreath, and a garland, all made with items that can be easily found in many high street shops.
