POA Learning continue to add to their portfolio of accessible learning with the addition of a range of courses using the City & Guilds SmartScreen platform.
SmartScreen is a rapidly growing e-learning portal supporting learners, and is the leading vocational education support resource website, set up by City & Guilds in 2001 providing qualification, level and unit-specific support learners.
With three subjects available, access to the platform is provided free of charge for learners to study Covid-19 support, Workplace Skills and ESOL.
The Covid package has been designed to include sessions about Coronavirus prevention, innovation and implementing change. It moves onto learning how to support virtual or remote teams and maintaining business continuity plans and processes. There are useful links within the modules to support with knowledge about hygiene and health during this current time.
With Workplace Skills, learners are encouraged to check their own skills before moving onto a series of modules to look at self-motivation, communication, team working and digital communication.
Learners can also look at customer service and professionalism among others as this comprehensive package covers a wealth of skills to support everyone in the workplace.
Finally, City & Guilds have partnered with Klik2Learn to offer Journey 2 English, a digital course for intermediate learners of English. Through an engaging self-study model, learners can access 100+ hours of interactive content, designed around a journey through the UK.
These courses can link to other learning opportunities with POA Learning with further sessions on Employability, Functional Skills and Level 2 distance learning courses all available along with our Litmos platform that offers over 800 free online courses.
